Fall 2020: Guided Watercolor Studio with Debbie Myers - Starts September 2nd 

Dates: Wednesdays,

September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, October 7th, 14th, and 21st 

Times: 9-12 pm 
Ages: Adult
Location: Lafayette County Multipurpose Arena

This is a guided studio class with experienced watercolorist, Debbie Myers. Students will bring personal projects to work on and receive guidance on. This is not a beginner’s class, it is strictly studio time. 

Price: $75 for members/$90 for non-members

 

 

 

The Lafayette County Arena is located at 70 F.D. Buddy East Parkway (70 County Road 406). This road connects Hwy 6 to Hwy 334 by the Lafayette County Schools. The class will be held in the large classroom. Enter through the MS State Extension Services Entrance (glass doors on the left). 

Classes and programs offered by the Arts Council may be adjusted to be responsive to evolving City of Oxford, Lafayette County and Health Department guidelines.

There are many fabulous works of art in all media available for all budgets.
 Works may be viewed anytime Monday-Friday from 9-5 at the Powerhouse,
and after hours during special events.  The show will be feature until December 19th.

2019 Biggest, Baddest Art Show!


Members of Oxford Artists' Guild are hosting their annual Biggest, Baddest Art Show at the Powerhouse now through December 19th. Works are available to view and to purchase anytime between 9 AM and 5 PM, and after hours during special events.

Over 60 original works of all media are on display.  33 different artists are featured in this show.

A meet the artists' reception will be held on Tuesday, November 12 from 6 PM - 8 PM.  Winners from the juried show will be announced, and a chance to vote for your favorite piece will be available until 7:30 PM.

Join us for appetizers and view the unique, original, local art!

Guild member winner of The Cedars Art Exhibition

Congratulations to OAG Member Debbie Myers. She was recently awarded 1st place in The Cedars juried art show for her work "Delta Church".
Other guild members who were accepted into this fantastic show were Linda Peters, Pam Locke, Carol Roark, and Tammy Oliver Cook.
The exhibition will hang through the end of the month of September with the last day for the public viewing being Friday, September 28. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday 10am - 4pm.

Artwork featured on new television show!

Way to go Linda Peters!  Her artwork is being featured on the set of the pilot of the new series Bluff City Law.  The pilot will air on NBC at 9:00, September 23.


A watch party will be held at the Chancellor's House starting at 8:00.

New Art at St. John Catholic Church

Congratulations to Lee Ann O'Keefe!  The new mosaic at St. John Catholic Church was derived from her artwork.
