The Yoknapatawpha Arts Council and the Oxford Artists'
Guild announces the 3rd Annual Student
Exhibition and contest. This art event is open to Lafayette County youth ages preschool to High School Seniors. Art works will be
on exhibit for the general public at the Powerhouse from
March 1 to March 30.
Entries are limited to one per student. All works must be framed and ready to hang with a sturdy wire or metal bracket. Art work on Studio and Gallery style canvass may be unframed but these works must also have a wire attached for hanging. Sculpture and pottery that can freely stand on a shelf may also be submitted. Please attach two cards to the back of the work with the artist and parent contact information, media of work, and price if for sale. Works not meeting the above rules will not be able to participate in the show.
Drop
off for all works will be at the Powerhouse on Febrary
28th, from 9am to 5pm.
A reception to honor the artists will be held
at the Powerhouse on Tuesday, March 25th from 6pm to 8pm and will
be open to the general public. Prizes will be awarded.
