Thank you Joan for our great new slogan.
Guild T-shirts
Orders for t-shirts will be taken after the design is voted on. Members who would like to design our shirt, bring your design to the meeting on October 1. The front will have our logo on it. The back can be whatever you can create. It has to be limited to three colors. The t-shirt printers can tweak your design, so it doesn't have to be perfect. You can draw a simple design or give us your ideas. The winner will receive credit for one year's dues and a free t-shirt.
The first deadline is for the Powerhouse Gallery Series which is October 3. The application can be downloaded from their site oxfordarts.com
This is a great opportunity to reach a wide audience. If you have any questions about specific shows or the application itself, feel free to call or e-mail myself lorileighblaylock@yahoo.com or Andi Bedsworth. andibedsworth@gmail.com
Need "Found Art Objects"
The children's activity is going to be using found art. If you have buttons, old costume jewelry, fabric scraps, lace, or anything that can be used to create collages or pictures, please save and bring to the meeting on October 1 or the show itself. We also need clean, unused pizza boxes to put the art in to help transport it home safely. We need boxes in which an 8 X 10 canvas will fit. Thank you to Fergie Crill for helping with this, but if anyone else is interested in asking local pizzerias to donate boxes, let me know.
